Festival History

Kolot Hayam was created as a weekend long festival to celebrate talented Jewish High School Choirs all across the country. Since 2010, our Kolot family has come together to sing, learn, grow, and forge lifelong friendships. With workshops led by industry leading professionals, a harmonious Shabbat, group songs, a main competition and critique, and weekend of learning, bonding, and of course, eating, this is a Jewish musical experience like no other.

A Pluralistic Festival

We are proud to welcome schools of all different Jewish affiliations. Since its inception, Kolot HaYam is a community for Conservative, Orthodox, and Pluralistic Day Schools. There are a number of Tefillah options throughout the weekend including an Egalitarian Minyan, a Traditional Orthodox Minyan, and alternative Minyan. All of our meals are Glatt Kosher.
